Last Weekend's Project

Last weekend, I decided it was time to add something nice to the yard to relax after the work and remodeling I've been working on. John Herbert was nice enough to let me borrow his truck. It didn't take too long to turn this truck load of blocks into a pretty nice fire ring. 15 blocks per level gives a fire ring that is about 5' across. I tried it out last night...very nice!

It's good to be a geek!

Just finished rearranging the office to make room for a new worker.  As a proud geek, I have to say this is pretty cool.

Southern rains have finally come!

All of the recent rains have been a welcome change for south Georgia. Many of the plants in the yard are relieved. Hopefully it keeps up!

The new ride

I've finally had a chance to take the new bike on a long ride.  It is amazing how easy the 17 mile loop is with a real road bike!

Not bad for a phone camera

It is amazing how good some of these cameras built into cell phones are getting. The camera on my Droid was able to capture these images. I'm not about to give up my Nikon but these are pretty good!

Now that's good coffee

Pilot Travel Centers has some great marketing people. The photo is from a tanker I pulled up behind.  "The best coffee on the interstate"...so good we deliver it in tankers and we have to mark it as flammable! 

OK...Maybe it was a slow day in South Georgia...
